Request for Photocopies/ Digital Copies

The National Archives of Malta offers photocopying and digital reproduction services both at the main premises in Rabat and at the Mdina repository. Subject to available resources paper copies are provided on the same day whilst digital copies need to be ordered beforehand. The officers in charge of the reading room have the discretion not to photocopy any document, which in their opinion is not fit for copying purpose.

If the number of paper copies ordered is limited in number to a maximum of 5 total pages, the copies are generally provided within a few minutes on most days of the week. A larger number of copies need to be booked and will be provided at a later time or date. The photocopy or digital copy ordering forms should be duly filled and the necessary bookmarks placed to indicate clearly the parts of the documents to be copied.
