PAUL ASCIAK DONATES IMPORTANT DOCUMENATION ABOUT HIS CAREER
An important collection of historical documents, posters and other literature was recently donated to the National Archives by renowned tenor Paul Asciak. The presentation was made by the tenor himself in the presence of his wife Beatrice, to National Archivist Charles Farrugia. Speaking during this event, Mr Asciak said that it was his wish to see such documentation cared for as an educational tool to future researchers. Charles Farrugia, while thanking Mr Asciak said that the documentation is a living tribute to the distinguished career of a Maltese who made a name for himself and for our country in Malta and beyond our shores.
The National Archives intends to include this material in its National Memory project and to organise particular events in future to focus on these distinguished personalities such as tenor Paul Asciak.
